‍ ‍This photo captures one of the most meaningful days our family ever shared—my mother’s very first birthday celebration. On her 80th birthday, she told me she had never had a birthday party before. We wanted to make that day unforgettable.

Throughout the celebration, I took photos of everyone who came to honor her. She was overwhelmed with joy and deeply touched by the love shown by family and friends. Watching her smile as more and more people arrived reminded us of an important truth: no matter our age, everyone deserves to feel loved, valued, and celebrated.

My mother was the heart of our family. She helped raise my children, who were never placed in daycare or left with babysitters outside of our close family. Whenever we needed her, she was there with unconditional love, guidance, and support. She embodied the true meaning of a village—showing up, caring for others, and putting family first.

Her legacy of compassion, service, and unwavering love is the foundation of Dream Team Doulas of Charlotte LLC. The care we provide to mothers, babies, and families is inspired by the example she set every day of her life. We strive to make every family feel supported, respected, and never alone during one of life’s most important journeys.
